Scholarship Funds



LaVergne M. Brown and Lois L. Spenner Educational Scholarship

Established in March 2004 by Phil Brown and Leta Chaney to provide scholarships for qualified students graduating from North Judson-San Pierre High School who are likely to succeed as college or university school students in the field of education.

Back Home Again In Indiana Scholarship Fund

Established in 2000 to provide scholarships to qualifying Starke County students.

Ancilla/SCILL Fund

Established in 1998 to provide support to needy Starke County students attending the SCILL Center/Ancilla.

Frank and Catherine Alan Scholarship Fund

Established in 1997 to provide support to Ancilla College for needy Starke County students.

Brooklyn A. Boo Scholarship Funds

Established in 1998 to provide scholarships to nursing and/or medical students who have graduated from North Judson-San Pierre High School and who are deserving of financial assistance.

Helen and Ware Edgar Scholarship Fund

Established in 1997 to provide support to a Starke County, Indiana High School graduate who plans to pursue a career in journalism.

Ed Hasnerl/WKVI Scholarship Fund

Established in 1999 to provide scholarships to qualified graduating seniors, who are Starke County Residents, studying communications and media related subjects.

Clarence Lawrence Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 2000 to provide scholarships to qualified students graduating from North Judson-San Pierre High School, Knox High School or Oregon-Davis High School.

Starke Memorial Hospital and Medical Staff Health Occupation/Medical Education Scholarship Fund

Established in 1998 to provide scholarships to Starke County residents pursuing a career in a health field.

1897 Charley Vorm Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in 1998 to provide scholarships to students graduating from North Judson-San Pierre High School in need of financial assistance.

Forrest and Helen Whitson Scholarship Fund

Established in 1998 to provide scholarships to sophomore, junior or senior student at Purdue University in a School of Engineering, Agriculture or Consumer and Family Living, who have graduated from a Starke County High School in need of financial assistance.

Robert O. and Doris E. Winters Scholarship Fund

Established in 2000 to provide scholarships for qualified students graduating from Knox Community High School in need of financial assistance.

Richard H. Gumz Agricultural Scholarship Fund

Established in 2001 to provide scholarships to Starke County students attending Purdue University and pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field of study.

Winifred J. Simpkins/Spirit of Nursing Scholarship Fund

Established in 2002 to provide scholarships to Starke County residents enrolled in an accredited registered nursing program in Indiana.
