Starke Community

an original poster by Mitchell A. Markovitz

'Starke Community' by Mitchell A. Markovitz

The second in the Starke Beauty poster series by Mitchell A. Markovitz, Starke Community depicts the casual, friendly small-town atmosphere of life in Starke County. In the early autumn, sunset makes a golden glow on the foliage of the black oaks of the historic Quality Hill neighborhood in North Judson. Artist Markovitz describes the feeling of the scene, saying 'the kids are coming home from school with thoughts of cookies and cocoa'.
